Affiliate Disclosure

Gateway Havanes ( is designed to share helpful and important information about the Havanese Breed and dogs in general.

At our home we use lots of different products for our dog and we have a carful eye for the good stuff. I also do a lot of research on items and I am a bit of an information junkie so I dig. I find it especially helpful when other people write about their experiences with products and services, and they make recommendations about those things. will only recommend great products that serve a purpose and are quality items or services. We believe that our information is going to be helpful. It has either worked for us or someone we know. It solves some problem.

In 2015, the Federal Trade Commission released its new rules for Disclosure ComplianceThe rules were put in place to help viewers and searchers know that the creators of blogs were getting compensated for their efforts.  Advertising and product recommendations can return revenue for the blog owner.

In compliance with the FTC guidelines, please assume the following about links and posts on this site:

  1. Any/all of the links are affiliate links of which I receive a small compensation from sales of certain items.
  2. We only pick products that we believe in, and that we would recommend. We DO NOT get paid to recommend products or services, we recommend things we like and because we help their business they give us a commission.
  3. Prices are the same for you no matter what.

What are affiliate links?

Affiliate links are simply links from to other websites, like Amazon that sell products, services or information.

When you click on these outgoing links and you get to another site I get a commission if there is a sale. It is helpful for me and my income as a blogger and for my business and helpful for you because you get the right information.

Programs I am associated with

1. Amazon affiliate links. is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, and Amazon offers a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links. Each of your purchases via our Amazon affiliation links supports our cause at no additional cost to you.

If a blogger links to an Amazon product (with a special code for affiliates embedded in the link), and a reader places an item in their “shopping cart” through that link within 24 hours of clicking the link, the blogger gets a small percentage of the sale. Amazon links are not “pay per click.” If you click on the product link and stay around Amazon and purchase something else, however, I will get a commission on that sale.

Clickbank is another marketplace, and works similar to Amazon. They have some amazing training products and information pieces. I recommend only the ones I like and hopefully they help you.

What about sponsored content?

There are no sponsored posts on Gateway Havanese. We don’t get paid to write about products or services. We only write about things we have used, researched, recommended or tried. Hopefully the information we provide helps you in your search.
