These groups and clubs are designed to provide a kind of stamp of approval for breeders, bloodlines and standards within the industry.
However, they are not the be-all and end-all. The system can be gamed, meaning that bad apples can get into the club or association, so it is only a part of the equation, you still need to do your homework.
