Looking for a Havanese breeder in Illinois? This directory was checked on September 24, 2026. Every breeder listed below had a working official website or Facebook page when checked.
A working link does not guarantee current puppy availability or replace your own research. Ask about breed-appropriate health testing, registration, contracts, socialization and lifetime breeder support before paying a deposit. The Havanese Club of America breeder referral directory is a useful starting point.
If your search can extend beyond Illinois, compare nearby Havanese breeders in Iowa, Havanese breeders in Indiana, Havanese breeders in Missouri, and Havanese breeders in Wisconsin.

Before You Contact a Breeder
- Confirm the breeder is still accepting applications and verify who operates the website or Facebook page.
- Ask to see health testing for both parents and confirm the results independently.
- Never send a deposit solely because a breeder appears in an online directory.
- Ask for a written contract, veterinary records and a clear return-to-breeder policy.

My husband and I would like to adopt an adult dog. If any breeder has a retired or about to be retired dog we would love to speak to you. Male or Female, 2-6 years old. Hopefully housebroken. Our 5 year old Havanese, Buddy, was lost to cancer and we want to enjoy that love and devotion again.
